Delete Your Parkboxd Account

This page explains how to delete your Parkboxd account (published by Backlot Labs LLC) and what happens to your data when you do. Account deletion is available to every user, on every platform, at no cost.
How to delete your account
In the app (fastest)
- Open Parkboxd and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Deletion starts immediately. You are signed out on all devices and your account is scheduled for permanent removal.
By email
If you can't access the app, email contact@parkboxd.com from the email address on your account with the subject line "Account deletion request". We will verify the request belongs to you and process it. You do not need to give a reason.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or de-identify the following within 30 days:
- Your profile (name, username, email address, avatar, bio, and settings);
- Your diary content: park day logs, ride logs, reviews, ratings, lists, comments, and likes;
- Photos you uploaded to your own logs and profile;
- Your followers/following relationships and follow requests;
- Push notification tokens and notification preferences;
- Your analytics records and identifiers.
The 30-day promise is subject to the exceptions in the next section — most importantly, material preserved for child-safety reporting, which is kept for 1 year even after your account is deleted.
What is kept, and for how long
Some limited data is retained after deletion, consistent with our Privacy Policy:

| Content reported for child safety, and the related account information | 1 year from the report or submission, as 18 U.S.C. §2258A(h) requires, and longer where NCMEC, law enforcement, or other applicable law requires or permits. Preservation continues after deletion; the material is stored securely, accessed only as needed to comply with the law, and used for no other purpose. See Terms of Service §5.1. |

We may retain limited information beyond these periods only where required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud and abuse prevention.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual pieces of content — logs, reviews, comments, lists, and photos — at any time in the app, without deleting your account. Raw analytics events are automatically deleted after about 90 days regardless.
